The Opportunity

We are looking for a permanent full-time Rotational Pharmacist to join our team at Slade Pharmacy. You will be working on-site with our specialty hospital and clinical teams across a diverse range of hospital pharmacies in New South Wales. On occasion, you may be called to provide support for regional areas.

About the Role
As a rotational Pharmacist will have the option to be based out of the Greater Sydney or Newcastle areas. You will be working across multiple sites; covering various periods of planned pharmacist leave while gaining new skills and knowledge across our range of specialties. This is full-time permanent position, and you will be entitled to rotational/reliever rates and benefits where additional travel is required.
  
Duties include:
  • Conducting medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation 
  • Dispensing and supplying medication and medication profiles 
  • Coordinating patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge 
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients 
  • Supporting patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees 
  • Educating and advising staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
  
About You
You are an adaptable Pharmacist who possess strong communication, interpersonal skills, the ability to work autonomously prioritise workload to deliver the best possible care to patients.
Community pharmacists, newly registered (or soon to be registered) pharmacists are encouraged to apply, full training will be provided for the successful applicants!

Requirements:
  • Be a current AHPRA registered pharmacist or a Pharmacy intern awaiting general registration from AHPRA.
  • Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
  • Current drivers licence and roadworthy NSW-registered vehicle as role requires travel to various sites within our NSW pharmacy network.
  • Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
  • Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously.
  
Hospital experience is not required, as structured training will be provided for you to succeed in the role!
