About the Role
As a Senior Management Accountant within Cancer Care Australia, you will be instrumental in delivering accurate and timely financial insights to support both management and statutory requirements. Based at our South Brisbane head office in Brisbane, this permanent full-time role offers the chance to collaborate with senior Cancer Care leaders, mentor junior team members, and enhance business processes in a dynamic and supportive environment.
  
In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive management accounting, reporting, and analysis to empower decision-making across pharmacy sites and leadership teams. Your contributions will directly support the achievement of business objectives while fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Month-End Activities: Execute month-end tasks, including management reporting, variance analysis (revenue and expenses vs. budget/forecast), and KPI reporting across Cancer Care sites.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with stakeholders to prepare accurate budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Wage & Cost Management: Accurately record and allocate wages, with KPI analysis to optimise labour efficiency.
  • Business Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial modelling and analysis, developing templates to support strategic decisions.
  • Audit & Year-End Support: Assist with year-end audit requests and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes and reporting tools for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Cashflow Management: Support cashflow reporting and forecasting
  
About You
You are an experienced accounting professional with a sharp eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving, and a knack for building collaborative relationships. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at mentoring others, and are committed to driving continuous improvement.
  
Required Skills & Experience
  • Australian working rights.
  • Currently studying or completed CA/CPA qualification.
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, regulations, and business law principles.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (including modelling and template development), Power BI, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work independently while fostering teamwork.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare sector is highly valued.
  • Proven track record in a similar role within large organisations.
