Icon Cancer Centre Wahroonga, located within the Sydney Adventist Hospital precinct, provides advanced medical oncology and radiation oncology services supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team. We are seeking a Site Manager who is passionate about operational excellence, building strong teams and ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care.

The opportunity
Reporting to the State Manager NSW/ACT the Site Manager, will oversee the operational, financial and clinical governance activities that keep the centre running smoothly and safely. You will play a central role in shaping service quality, workforce capability and the overall experience for patients, families, staff and visiting specialists.

Your responsibilities will include:  
Operational leadership
  • Managing day‑to‑day clinical and administrative operations to ensure safe, efficient and seamless patient care.
  • Overseeing site budgets, financial performance, workforce planning and resource allocation.
  • Building strong partnerships with VMOs, SMOs, referrers, suppliers and onsite consultants.
  • Monitoring business performance, analysing data, and identifying opportunities to enhance service outcomes and patient flow.
  • Supporting business development activities to increase service visibility, referrals and activity growth.  
Quality and governance
  • Ensuring the site meets regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Leading clinical governance processes, incident management, quality improvement projects and audit programs.
  • Overseeing information management practices and maintaining compliance with privacy legislation.  
People leadership
  • Supporting multidisciplinary team leaders to create an engaged, high‑performing workforce.
  • Leading performance and development processes to build capability and team cohesion.
  • Ensuring onboarding, training and ongoing education needs are met so staff can confidently deliver exceptional care.
  • Promoting open, supportive communication and alignment with Icon’s values and code of conduct.  
Workplace health and safety
  • Championing a strong WHS culture and ensuring safe work practices are embedded across the centre.
  • Monitoring risks, escalating issues and supporting continuous improvement in safety.

Skills and experience
  • Leadership experience in a healthcare setting with the ability to engage and guide multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong operational management skills including workforce planning, budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to interpret and act on performance data.
  • Experience managing quality systems, accreditation and WHS requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate, influence and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solutions‑focused approach with a passion for improving service outcomes.
Qualifications
Desired
  • Undergraduate qualification in a health‑related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in business or management.

  • Immunisation requirements in line with healthcare standards
