Strategic Marketing Content Specialist

Are you a marketing content professional but a writer at heart – someone who finds real satisfaction in shaping complex ideas into clear, compelling content? Do you have a passion for refining the message, setting the structure and writing the content that makes everything else work?

If you love the behind-the-scenes of marketing, bringing structure to the message, polishing every word, and helping others communicate more clearly, and you're looking for the why behind the campaign work, this role might be your sweet spot.

We're hiring a Strategic Marketing Content Specialist to join our global marketing team. This is your opportunity to step into a high-impact content role with Icon Group—Australia’s largest integrated provider of cancer care, operating across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the UK.

Why This Role Matters
At Icon Group, we’re not just marketing products or services — we’re communicating hope, innovation, and clinical excellence as we continue our efforts to address the global cancer burden.

As our Strategic Marketing Content Specialist, your words will make a difference. You’ll help build our global playbooks, customer value propositions, SEO content, and campaign frameworks. You’ll work with teams across Australia, Singapore and the UK, guiding content direction and helping them localise content and execute with confidence.

You’ll translate complex healthcare offerings into clear, thoughtful messaging that resonate with diverse audiences — from doctors and patients to health executives. This is not an entry-level role – you’ve likely done your time in the depths of tactical marketing delivery and are ready to step into a position where your writing can shape direction, influence marketing strategy and support global impact.

If you care deeply about clarity, consistency, and the power of well-crafted content, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Marketing and Customer Experience, you’ll:
  • Write strategic, high-impact content for websites, campaign assets, and customer platforms
  • Develop global messaging frameworks and content playbooks for service launches and technology rollouts
  • Translate complex clinical or commercial offerings into clear, engaging copy for different healthcare audiences
  • Collaborate with local marketing teams to roll out new content for their markets and channels
  • Shape our global SEO content strategy and help improve visibility and engagement
  • Manage our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system to ensure content is accurate, consistent and accessible
  • Enhance the global patient and customer experience through words that inform, connect, and guide
What You Bring
We’re looking for a strategic thinker and skilled content specialist who:
  • Loves writing and sees it as a tool for clarity, influence, and connection.
  • Writes confidently and strategically for healthcare audiences (doctors, patients, health executives)
  • Thrives on the detail of campaign messaging, content structure and language tone
  • Enjoys being hands-on – from copy writing to DAM management to tightening sales decks
  • Holds a qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Brings 4+ years of experience in content development and campaign delivery
  • Has proven experience in healthcare, professional services marketing or similar regulated environment — this is essential.
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience working in a global or decentralised marketing structure.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems and SEO tools.
  • Familiarity with Monday.com or similar workflow management tools
  • Confidence using AI tools to streamline content workflows and support scaled content production — while still crafting original, high-quality content that reflects brand tone and intent
What We Offer
  • Hybrid work model with flexible hours and work-from-home options.
  • Part-time options (e.g., 4-day work week) available.
  • Career development pathways and access to free online learning.
  • Wellbeing perks like Fitness Passport, Employee Assistance Program, and paid parental leave.
  • Financial benefits including novated leasing and a rewards portal with discounts on travel, shopping, and more.
