Systems Administrator - Clinical Systems

Joining our clinical systems team on a permanent full-time basis, you will be responsible for delivering infrastructure, security and support for clinical system users across all Icon Cancer Centres, including Australia, New Zealand, South-East Asia and Europe.

At Icon, you will be a true champion of our patients care by:

  • Ensuring all clinical systems are operational within Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and all maintenance, upgrades and patches are fully tested with minimum disruption before being delivered to the business
  • Completing maintenance on programs including backup and recovery capability and should create and test plans for business continuity
  • Working closely with the clinical systems team to develop increased knowledge of systems, common support requirements and ensuring the reliability of the clinical systems environment
  • Engaging with the wider IT team, particularly service desk to ensure customer service effectiveness
  • Collaborating with the physics team for upgrades, new equipment and new technology to meet the organisation’s clinical needs
  • Supporting the deployment of new software and infrastructure
  • Enabling technology upgrades and implementations to assist project activities
  • Providing input to strategic decisions and becoming involved in international projects

We are seeking a dynamic individual with tertiary qualifications in IT and a minimum of 5 years experience in Windows Server Administration. You’ll need to have excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills combined with a strong understanding of technical issue resolution workflows and systems.

As a self-motivated professional, you'll thrive in our autonomous work environment, taking ownership of tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will enable effective collaboration allowing you to work effectively as part of a geographically separated team, while your familiarity with common project management methodologies will drive success and bring valuable expertise to our team.

The nature of the work will also necessitate that you have the flexibility to perform some tasks ‘after hours’ as may be required.
