As Group Director of Radiation Therapy, Stephanie leads Icon’s global radiation therapy governance function. This forms part of the Group’s central Clinical Care team who oversee excellence in the delivery of care across all regions.
Stephanie is a highly skilled radiation therapist with a strong background in healthcare management. She combines her clinical and operational experience with a focus on quality improvement, clinical excellence, and empowering teams through change. During her 13-year tenure, she has held several roles including long-term Site Manager at Icon Cancer Centre Maroochydore in Queensland. As Site Manager she led a busy radiation oncology centre with a strong focus on building local community and industry partnerships to deliver integrated cancer care, while fostering a supportive work environment. She has also been a key driver of the latest Icon Cancer Care site in Noosa as Icon expand its services
She has been a critical part of many radiation therapy initiatives across Icon, including Radiation Therapy Plan Pooling to deliver efficient workforce solutions, spearheading technical rollouts and working closely with our international teams to ensure excellence across regional radiation therapy centres.
Stephanie is a Future Leaders Forum alumnus, an internal program dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders, and is also Chair of the Group’s Radiation Therapy Practice Unit who oversee the governance and safety of radiation therapy. She has a passion for growing the next generation of leaders and has strong mentoring and support skills. She sits on Queensland University Technology’s (QUT) Industry Advisory Committee for radiation therapy providing strategic links to business, industry and government and advocating for the continued evolution of radiation therapy training and development.
Her proven leadership and clinical expertise are well placed to ensure Icon remains at the forefront of radiation therapy innovation and technology.
She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Radiation Therapy, a Master of Health Management from University of New England and post graduate studies in Health Professional Education.
