World Cancer Day 2022

Icon Group’s World Cancer Day 2022 Campaign

Every year Icon is proud to mark World Cancer Day with a group wide campaign which raises awareness, connects a community and most importantly contributes to the global cancer conversation.

In 2022, our international network across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Mainland China and Hong Kong showed their support with the following activities:

Icon’s Wall of Knowledge and Hope

In support of the Union for International Cancer Control’s (UICC) 2022 World Cancer Day theme ‘Close the Care Gap’, Icon installed World Cancer Day displays across 120 sites globally asking teams, patients, loved ones and industry partners to share messages of hope and advice. This simple activity of spreading knowledge is one way we can come together and support cancer patients of today and tomorrow.

The more empowered we are, the more we can arm ourselves with the tools to make a difference. Icon continues to be an integral part of the cancer care landscape and World Cancer Day provides an opportunity to make our community’s voices heard, raise awareness of the cancer burden and ultimately affect change for those in need.

Supporting 21 Days to Impact Challenge

In 2022, Icon’s executives – Group CEO Mark Middleton and CEO for ASEAN Serena Wee once again participated in World Cancer Day 21 Days to Impact Challenge.

Connect with Mark Middleton and Serena Wee on LinkedIn to view the 21 day challenge where they share personal moments, cancer education and tips in an effort to be part of the cancer conversation.

Light up landmarks

As Vanguard partners of UICC, Icon Group are proud to support their Light up Landmarks campaign every World Cancer Day.

In 2022, Icon helped organise 55 famous landmarks across locations in Australia and New Zealand.
