Slade Health’s Woodville facility celebrates one year of impact

In just 12 months, the Slade Health Woodville team has enhanced access to high-quality compounded pharmaceuticals and specialised medications, supporting private hospital partners and public health, and ultimately improving patient outcomes throughout the region.

Woodville is Slade’s fifth licensed facility across Australia and New Zealand and follows a strong track record of achieving rigorous compliance with industry standards, underscoring its commitment to safety, precision, and quality. The facility’s dedication to excellence is supported by a skilled team of pharmacists and production technicians, assistants, delivery technicians and support staff who work tirelessly to ensure that every compounded medication meets strict guidelines and patient-specific requirements.

Officially opened by Federal Health Minister and Member for Hindmarsh SA, Hon Mark Butler MP and Minister for Health and Wellbeing and Member for Kaurna SA, Chris Picton MP, the Woodville facility continues to support the South Australian government’s Australia Cancer Plan, contributing to increased access to cancer medicines, particularly in rural and remote regions.

Icon Group’s Global Director of Pharmacy and Compounding, David Slade said the team has reduced the need to rely on interstate facilities.
