What You’ll Do
This Clinical Pharmacist role includes structured training and development into oncology pharmacy practice, where your role goes far beyond dispensing. You’ll be a key contributor to complex cancer treatment plans, directly influencing patient outcomes through expert medication management and clinical insight.
Here, you’ll work closely with Oncologists, Nurses, and Technicians, manage specialised medications, and play a key role in patient care from diagnosis through to treatment and recovery. It’s a career move that’s not just a step forward - it’s a leap into a more professional, specialised, and impactful future.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-level clinical pharmacy services in oncology, including medication review, patient counselling, and treatment optimisation.
- Apply advanced professional judgement to complex oncology cases, supporting evidence-based care across the patient journey.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to a cohesive and patient-centred cancer care environment.
- Provide expert advice on oncology protocols, treatment regimens, and supportive care strategies.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance, and research activities within the oncology setting.
What You’ll Bring
You’re a motivated Pharmacist with a keen interest to expand into clinical or oncology pharmacy.
While hospital experience is advantageous, we welcome community and newly registered Pharmacists to apply. Comprehensive training will be provided, so don’t be afraid to put your hand up for this career changing experience!
Essential requirements
- Pharmacist registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice
- Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-month from date of employment.
- Personal Indemnity insurance.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and manage interactions with doctors and multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable skills & experience
- Experience in clinical and/or oncology pharmacy.
- Hospital pharmacy experience
