About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our collaborative team at Slade Pharmacy Richmond. Our flagship Richmond site is located at the front of Epworth Hospital in the Bridge Road shopping precinct in Melbourne, Victoria. While connected to the hospital precinct, this role is community focused, with the primary responsibilities centred on IVF dispensing and community prescription services.
You will be part of a supportive team delivering high quality medication services and personalised care to community patients, including those accessing IVF and fertility treatments, as well as customers presenting with everyday prescriptions.
This role offers a great balance of dispensary based work and direct patient interaction, providing variety and opportunities to build strong patient relationships. You will be involved in dispensing, patient support, and collaborating closely with pharmacists to ensure accurate and timely service. We welcome experienced pharmacy or dispensary technicians, as well as pharmacy assistants with dispensing experience who are looking to take the next step in their career.

The Roster:
This is a permanent part-time position, working Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications under supervision for hospital inpatients and outpatients
- Assist customers with general queries, including liaising with hospital staff
- Replenish stock and assist in maintaining inventory levels both in pharmacy and in the hospital
- Assist the pharmacy teams with other ad-hoc pharmaceutical duties
- Provide support to patients, carers, and hospital staff

Importantly, you are flexible and reliable, with availability to work Monday to Friday from 3pm until 7pm. You understand the importance of being available during these hours to support patient care and team operations, and you're open to discussing alternative weekday arrangements if needed.
Essential Requirements
- Experience dispensing medications in an Australian-based hospital or community pharmacy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
- Full availability across the rostered hours of 7am to 10pm, Monday to Friday
- Australian working rights
- Certificate III or IV in Community Pharmacy (Dispensary Technician) or equivalent recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience – training will be provided
