The opportunity:
We are looking for a permanent full-time pharmacist to join us at the highly regarded St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Toowoomba to deliver optimum patient-centred pharmaceutical care. This exciting role includes a 6-month contract working as a Pharmacist in Charge.
This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with clinical teams across a highly regarded and fast-paced private hospital. You will have the opportunity to partner with an expert team of allied health professionals and doctors and lead a team to leave a positive impact on patient care.
In this role, you’ll:
  • Oversee daily operations and dispensing activities
  • Assist the team with clinical pharmacy services i.e. medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
  • Manage workload allocations
  • Educate and advise staff and patients on disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
  • Participate in committee meetings
  • Involvement in quality activities within the department
  • Conduct recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
  • Current AHPRA registration
