Hospital Pharmacist - Slade Pharmacy, Currumbin Clinic

This is an amazing opportunity to get your foot in the door of hospital pharmacy!
We are currently recruiting a permanent pharmacist at our Slade Pharmacy in Currumbin Clinic, a 104-bed facility offering specialist care in mental health. With the flexibility of part time or full time hours you will gain hands-on training and clinical experience under the guidance of our existing pharmacy team. You will deliver optimum patient-centred pharmacy care and partner with an expert team of allied health professionals and doctors to leave a positive impact on our patients.

You’ll even find yourself dipping your toes in the ocean while drinking your morning coffee on the way to work! That has to be one of the best ways to start the work day!

Key responsibilities:
  • Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
  • Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, discharge and day appointments
  • Conduct medication histories, medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service 
  • Support and educate patients, carers, hospital staff on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
About you:
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about joining our team and delivering patient focused pharmacy services. Early career pharmacists are encouraged to apply. Hospital experience is not required as training is provided.

As a highly driven AHPRA registered pharmacist, you will have the ability to sensitively deal with patient needs and have a passion for delivering the best possible care. High attention to detail and effective interpersonal and communication skills are mandatory. 

You will be able to contribute to a team environment and develop good working relationships with colleagues, patients and practitioners.
