About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our Pharmacy Applications team; someone who enjoys problem‑solving and being the calm voice when dispensing systems decide not to dispense.

In this senior role, your primary focus will be supporting Icon Group’s pharmacy applications and systems. You’ll work closely with IT colleagues, as well as external vendors and partners, to manage incidents and service requests, ensuring they are handled in a timely, appropriate, and customer‑focused manner.

You’ll be the go-to escalation for pharmacy applications, taking ownership of more complex issues and seeing them through to resolution. Along the way, you’ll work closely with the IT Service Desk team, sharing knowledge and helping uplift frontline capability so issues can be resolved as early as possible.

And if day‑to‑day support allows, there’s room to stretch further. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in Pharmacy IT projects - delivering system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across Icon’s Pharmacy business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pharmacy applications and systems used across the Icon Group network.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely and customer‑focused manner.
  • Act as an escalation point for application issues, taking ownership through to resolution.
  • Work independently while collaborating closely with the Pharmacy Applications and broader IT teams.
  • Liaise with external vendors and partners to assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Communicate clearly with pharmacy sites, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Support and mentor the IT Service Desk team to improve frontline issue resolution.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.
  • Assist with pharmacy IT projects and system improvements when operational requirements allow.

About You
You’re a well‑rounded IT support professional who’s comfortable working autonomously while being part of a closely knit, collaborative remote team. You’re equally happy troubleshooting technical issues as you are talking things through with non‑technical users, and you adapt easily to changing priorities - whether that means jumping on a support issue, stepping in as an escalation point, helping a Service Desk colleague out, or getting involved in system improvements and project work when opportunities arise.

Essential requirements
  • Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-months from date of employment.
  • Minimum 3-years’ experience in relevant IT support roles

Desirable skills & experience
  • Relevant experience in the healthcare industry.

Benefits You’ll Enjoy
