The opportunity:
We are seeking a pharmacist to join us at the highly regarded Brisbane Waters Private Hospital, Woy Woy, on a part-time 12-month contract. You’ll partner with the hospital team and focus on delivering exceptional pharmacy services to patients. And you’ll do it with an innovative, multidisciplinary team of connected, caring people.

This is a part-time 12 month contracted position, working 32 hours per fortnight, Thursday and Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
  • Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
  • Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
  • Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
  • Review and completion of monthly reports

About You:
As a registered pharmacist with Australian or New Zealand based pharmacy experience, you will have a team orientated attitude, a focus on delivering exceptional service and care to patients, and the ability to manage your own workload with good communication skills to effectively liaise with a wide range of health professionals. You will be highly driven and have high attention to detail and a passion for building on your clinical skills and knowledge.

You’ll:
  • Be a current AHPRA registered pharmacist with previous experience in an Australian based pharmacy
  • Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
  • Have time management, communication and teamwork skills
  • Be flexible and adaptable working with a diverse team
  • Embrace change and commit to learning
  • Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Previous dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
