The Opportunity:
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a passionate Pharmacist who is eager to get out from behind the counter and truly engage with patients. Partner with a harmonious hospital team at the Mayo Private Hospital that has a strong focus on providing medical rehab and mental health services to Taree and surrounding communities.
  
This is a rare opportunity for newly-registered or early career pharmacists to start their career in clinical pharmacy.
  
Key responsibilities:
  • Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
  • Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
  • Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
  • Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
About you:
We are seeking a self-motivated individual keen to join a vibrant team environment. With an eagerness to learn and the ability to work autonomously, you will use your previous experience in an Australian based pharmacy to contribute to patient care. 
  
Skills and experience:
  • Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Hospital experience not mandatory.
