About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Operations Lead to join our team at Slade Pharmacy Richmond.
This key leadership role is responsible for managing and leading all front of shop retail operations, including overseeing and training pharmacy assistants, driving customer service excellence, and ensuring efficient day to day retail performance.
You will play a hands-on role on the retail floor, supporting the team, engaging with customers, and ensuring that high quality pharmacy services are consistently delivered.
Working closely with the Retail Services Manager, you will also be responsible for stock management, merchandising, and ensuring the retail environment operates effectively and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily retail floor operations and supervise pharmacy assistants
- Lead, support and deliver training and development for pharmacy assistants
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support front of shop activities
- Manage stock control processes including ordering, inventory management and merchandising
- Monitor stock levels, promotions, and point of sale accuracy
- Support recruitment and performance management of retail team members
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
- Contribute to financial performance by managing budgets, KPIs, and cost-effective stock use
About You
You’re a confident and hands on retail leader who thrives in a fast paced pharmacy environment and enjoys supporting teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a retail or community pharmacy environment
- Strong leadership and team supervision experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage stock, inventory systems, and merchandising
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to customer service excellence
- Pharmacy IT systems experience and strong computer literacy
Desirable:
- Experience in a Retail Manager or similar leadership role
- Pharmacy Technician experience
