World Cancer Day 2026

Icon Group’s World Cancer Day 2026 Campaign

Each year Icon recognises World Cancer Day (WCD) through a group-wide campaign that spans the globe in order to raise awareness for those who have or know someone that has been affected by cancer.

In 2026, we are broadening our efforts to contribute to the cancer conversation, exhibited through our World Cancer Day 2026 campaign – ‘Best Care Possible’.

Continuing on from last year’s, ‘United by Unique’ theme, the annual awareness day recognises that each cancer experience is unique, but united, we are able to combat it together.

Icon is extending the acknowledgement of World Cancer Day on February 4th with our 10 Days of Impact leading up to 4 February to celebrate all the collective milestones we have achieved, but also reflect and look forward to how, united, we can reduce the global cancer burden. From 21 January to 3 February, we will be sharing stories from across our global network and from patients. Note: these stories can be found below.

We are also encouraging patients, team members, clinicians and partners to recognise what the best care possible means to them. These heartfelt messages will be shared across our centres, creating a powerful vision of hope and how our unique stories unite us in our mission to deliver the best care possible.

On 4 February, Icon will assist in lighting up various iconic landmarks across Australia and New Zealand in support of World Cancer Day.

  • Day 1: Campaign Launch

On Day 1, we’re launching our WCD 2026 campaign – Best Care Possible. Across our global network we’re asking teams, patients and our partners to answer what the best care possible means to them. Sharing heart messages across our centres provides a powerful visual of hope and how together our unique stories unite us in our mission to deliver the best care possible and improve access to cancer care to more communities.

  • Day 2: Every Patient is Unique

On Day two of our 10 Days of Impact, we celebrate the voices of our patients and carers. Their unique stories remind us why personalised, compassionate care is at the heart of everything we do. See some of our patient’s messages below.
