2022 Haematology Fellow Wesley
Could you imagine a better way to build your career in haematology?
Have you completed your training in haematology and are now ready to consolidate your clinical and research work alongside world class senior consultants?
A truly exceptional opportunity is available for a Haematology Fellow to develop advanced skills in private practice clinical haematology under the direct supervision of senior specialists. Starting in February 2022, this appointment (for a 1 or 2-year period) will see you involved in a clinical capacity at our Icon Cancer Centre in Wesley Hospital whilst concurrently enrolled in a PhD or similar higher degree. We will work with you to facilitate the research higher degree for example, via UQ/QIMR with Professor Steven Lane.
Working under the clinical direction of Icon’s Director of Haematology, the role has equally significant expectations of your clinical competency and compassionate approach. You’ll be supported to deliver best practice assessment, evaluation, and advice according to professional standards. In doing so, we’re seeking a caring professional who can act as an advocate to assist patients to make informed decisions, showing a level of empathy, respect and inclusion that aligns closely with Icon’s values.
Core shifts are Monday to Friday with the reasonable expectation of weekend coverage through the year. The details of this arrangement will be expanded upon at interview.
We’ll be looking for your completion of RACP / RCPA training with current or pending FRACP and/or FRCPA qualifications, and eligibility for AHPRA registration as a specialist haematologist and consultant physician.
You already know the value of investing in your career and gaining advanced skills as a fellow under the guidance of senior consultants. Icon can offer this opportunity and this unique network as a large and successful private practice provider of treatments for malignant and non-malignant blood disorders.
