About the Roles:
  
Exciting opportunities exist for Radiation Oncology Medical Physics TEAP Registrars to join the Icon Strategic Investment and Clinical Care team.  The medical physics registrars will be supported by the diverse and very experienced network of Icon Medical Physicists, both locally and Australia wide.  These positions are primarily based at our Richmond/Freemasons and Windsor Gardens sites in Melbourne and Adelaide respectively.
  
A generous salary package, which includes professional development allowance, is available, as well as a one-off relocation package (if deemed suitable).
    
The Icon Medical Physics team operates as a national service and has a proud history of TEAP registrar training. Our registrars participate in regular national video tutorials with other Icon medical physics registrars around Australia and are supported by a strong and diverse network of 45+ qualified Medical Physicists.  Opportunities for collaboration and training outside of the registrar’s home site are available and encouraged.


About the people we are going to hire:

The successful applicants will enrol in and undertake the ACPSEM ROMP TEAP program and strive to achieve the program milestones within a defined schedule.  As well as completing the tasks of the TEAP program, the position will also be involved in medical physics tasks under supervision and will participate in departmental research and development projects.  Effective communication skills as well as a demonstrated ability to perform in a multi-disciplinary environment would be an advantage.  A willingness to travel is essential, as some mandatory interstate training is required to complete TEAP competencies.
We welcome applications from medical physics registrars who are both new to the TEAP program as well as those who are part way through or nearing completion of the program. 


Essential Criteria:
  • Eligible for enrolment in the ACPSEM TEAP program and placement in Commonwealth funded medical physics registrar positions
  • Completion of an ACPSEM accredited MSc course in medical physics
  • Capable of high levels of communication in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Capable of self-directed work and possessing excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Current drivers licence.
