The opportunity:
We have a contract full-time opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our dynamic team at Epic Pharmacy based at St Andrew’s Hospital, Toowoomba. You will provide clinical pharmacy services to patients, and community ensuring that all pharmacy activities are completed to a high standard while supporting the quality use of medicines.

About the role:

This role is based 3 days/week in our hospital inpatient dispensary (contracted until July 2022) and 2 days/week in our community pharmacy (permanent) all within the St Andrews precinct.
  • Provide efficient clinical pharmacy services in a clinical setting
  • Conduct medication history interviews, medication reconciliation and pharmaceutical reviews at transfers of care
  • Be efficient and effective in the dispensing and distribution of medication
  • Conduct therapeutic drug monitoring, monitor medication outcomes and adverse drug reaction management
  • Provide medication counselling and education to patients
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide advice in patient care
  • Contribute to training and educational sessions for pharmacy, nursing, medical staff and allied health professionals
  • Support the quality use of medicines by participating in projects, audits, working groups or committees as required
  • Contribute to rostered on-call and weekend services
Early career & experienced pharmacists encouraged to apply. Previous experience in hospital pharmacy preferred but not required.

Who are we looking for?
  • AHPRA registered pharmacist with previous experience in an Australian based pharmacy
  • Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
  • Have time management, communication and teamwork skills

  • Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously
