The opportunity:
12-month part-time contract - 4 days per week

This is a great opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our supportive and collaborative Slade Pharmacy team located onsite at the Gosford Private Hospital. You’ll make a daily difference to the lives of patients and deliver exceptional pharmacy services to the hospital. And you’ll do it with an innovative, multidisciplinary team of connected, caring people.

Work with a collaborative team of experienced and enthusiastic pharmacists who will be sharing their knowledge and guidance, and best of all you will be supported through structured training.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Dispense and supply medications for hospital patients and outpatients
  • Assist with managing ward imprest and stock management activities 
  • Customer account billing and record management
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
  • Produce medication discharge profiles
  • Undertake delivery and collection of medication  
  • Assist with patient account enquiries

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about joining our team and delivering modern, patient-focused pharmacy services.

As an adaptable individual you will demonstrate high attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills. With experience dispensing medication in an Australian based pharmacy, you will have the ability to effectively manage your workload. You will also be able to work autonomously and within diverse team structures. 

Experience in a hospital or oncology is not mandatory as training is provided. An interest in the field is key to succeeding.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Previous experience dispensing medication
  • Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
  • Knowledge of S2/S3 medications
  • Current drivers licence and roadworthy car
